Stunning location right in the mountains. The private honeymoon suite was outstanding. It was a separate, spacious bungalow furnished in a luxurious African style with sliding doors leading onto a private patio that faced the mountains. We could lie outside on loungers or lie in bed and look onto the uninterrupted view of the mountains. The room had a private bathroom with bath and shower, a dressing room, desk, lounge area, fridge and coffee/tea facilities. All were spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming and the food! The food was so delicious. There wasn’t a single meal I didn’t like, and they made all our favourite desserts! We had a lovely Swedish massage at the Wellness Centre which left us feeling very relaxed.

The location is spectacular. Nestled at about 1500m above sea level, the air is clean, fresh and crisp. The rooms were very comfy and cosy. Loved the vibe: everyday there is tea time at 11 am and 3 pm. So we'd hike / do activities all morning and then enjoy a coffee in one of the lounge areas at 3 pm with the other guests: people playing boardgames, reading, doing puzzles. All of us just watching the dramatic clouds come in for the evening storms. Just magical. Loved the daily plan for all the activities. The hikes are so accessible from the hotel. For chilly rainy days, there are loads of indoor games to play. Food was delicious for us as we eat alot of salad and fresh food but nearly no vegan protein sadly.

The buffet selection was outstanding. We had a vegetarian in our party and there was always more than enough for her to choose from other than the standard vegetables. The menu was varied, staff very friendly and super attentive. Drinks delivered from the bar to the table came quickly. Free drinking water available at the buffet for self service. Our rooms were well situated near the main hotel (dining, lounge & bar) but did not hear any noise from the main hotel at all. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable and bathroom accessories available.

I loved the old family hotel feeling. Like an old lady. Nothing generic chain hotel here The food was also great. Every night was something different. The roasts, stir fries and curries were always there. Not to mention the desserts! The staff was always willing to help, and nothing was a bother. Dial 9 and your problem is sorted
